We are excited to announce that D5L is establishing a fashion magazine entitled Be Different Be You, bringing you fashion trends from all over the world. Our company’s mission is for everyone to express their identity and to speak for fashion, for it defines your personality.

After long awaiting our logo is finally making its grand debut, introducing: Diffy the Dove. The letter 'D' and the dove are placed together to portray freedom, peace and purity that differ individuals from one another. The number '5' and the letter 'L' intercepts portraying the unity between our group even though we are all different in race, personality and style.
Our magazine targets unisex of ages 16 to 20 years-old who are fashion enthusiast or even young fashion designers searching for ‘in trend’ inspirations. This magazine would be distributed for youth who are interested in the latest trends therefore using prominent young people in our magazine could follow in interest. Attracting the market share of our target group would be an advantage as advertising could be done with the help of social media where our target audience spend most of their time on. Forms of social media such as: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
Our idea of this magazine is to introduce and articulate new trends throughout the world and gain inspiration for the modernise society that we are currently in. The content delivers to the audience of topics that revolves around little yet crucial areas such as photography. This incorporation and relation to fashion is under looked even though there is significance to the vogue. Thus conveying the style of photography and teaching the basics of taking a well presented photo. Another content should we put the hashtag #TrendOfTheMonth, as we believe that this tag compiles fashion in a simpler way for people to explore through the issues that we can establish for online users alike.
This relates to another topic issues of fashion on the streets incorporating the ‘Humans of New York’ concept that allows one to tell their story while observing their style and clothing. Furthermore, our magazine will cover different styles of fashion from the youth ranging from: smart, casual, formal, boho and urban. Therefore we combine both genders, mixing and comparing with their distinction of style where we teach them how to become the best version of themselves. As a magazine targeting young adults, we emphasize on embracing one’s approach to fashion and building that confidence within ourselves.
Be Different Be You also gives us a chance to promote anti-body-shaming as we photograph different individuals with clothing that they have put together themselves. This way we can cut cost on hiring models, studio or techinal equipments. Body shaming has become the hot topic that often comes up in our generation, with the media’s portrayal of ‘ideal body’ or ‘perfect body’. As mentioned previously, the youth has often felt the need to look and dress a certain way to be good looking, nonetheless we want to inform the readers that it is better to ‘be different and be you’.

We have developed our first cover page with our title BDBY, ‘Be Different Be You’ featuring our own members. The title is coloured in grey to connote the meaning of security of one’s self and modernity to establish the sophistication of our magazine. Furthermore we added basic issues and topics of the magazine’s content such as the trend of the month, D.I.Y tips and tricks, music playlist and much more. The pricing will be affordable to the target audience.
